Basketball Recap: West Oso Comes Up Short

West Oso was the 60-38 winner over George West when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The West Oso Bears took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the George West Longhorns on Friday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, West Oso still got an impressive performance from Jerald Harper, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 22 points and three steals. Those 22 points gave Harper a new career-high.

Tristen Blevins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for George West, putting up 37 points. Blevins' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Balew, who posted nine points.

West Oso's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for George West, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

West Oso has already played their next contest, a 68-50 victory against Taft on the 4th. As for George West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-45 win against Mathis on the 4th.
