Soccer Game Preview: Wallace-Rose Hill vs. South Lenoir

The Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs will take on the South Lenoir Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wallace-Rose Hill will be strutting in after a win while South Lenoir will be coming in after a defeat.

Wallace-Rose Hill barely beat Pender the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory last Thursday. The score was close at halftime, but Wallace-Rose Hill pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Meanwhile, South Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of James Kenan. That's two games in a row now that South Lenoir have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Emily Jones, who's now up to nine this season.

South Lenoir's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Wallace-Rose Hill skirted past South Lenoir 1-0 in their previous matchup on April 1st. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
