Volleyball Preview: Mason Comets vs. Seton Saints
The Mason Comets's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Seton Saints at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Mason is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Milford with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Mason walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.
Fairfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Seton proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-10.
Seton had a senior duo take command as Reagan Miller had five digs and 27 assists and Sakura Codling had 13 digs. Miller is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season.
Mason's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Seton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season.
Mason came up short against Seton in their previous matchup back in October, falling 3-1. Can Mason avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
