Softball Recap: Scotts Valley Takes a Loss

Scotts Valley fell victim to Monterey and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Dores, falling 8-0. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dores from their previous meeting back in April of 2017.

Scotts Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Scotts Valley and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Monterey, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 12-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Scotts Valley and Monterey will both be playing Chico the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Panthers at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, while the Dores will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
