Meanwhile, Hedgesville beat Loudoun County 8-3 on Wednesday.

Landon Pence made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Pence was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Mason McGill looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Mason Elliott was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. Austin Manor was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Landstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Hedgesville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
