Basketball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

Rochester and Mahomet-Seymour squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Rochester had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs, falling 54-32. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Despite the loss, Rochester still got an impressive performance from Alaina Stock, who posted nine points and three steals. Stock is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 11-23. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-11.

Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will take on Quincy Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Quincy Notre Dame will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mahomet-Seymour surely won't give up without a fight.
