Basketball Recap: HEARTS for Jesus Christ's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

HEARTS for Jesus Christ had won two straight games and Josh Aten did his part to make it three on Thursday. The HEARTS for Jesus Christ Guardians took down Horizon Science Academy 81-67 thanks in part to Aten, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 boards. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Josh Elsesser was another key player, going 8 of 10 on his way to 19 points and five assists. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Horizon Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ will challenge Northeast Ohio College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horizon Science Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Westside Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
