Soccer Game Preview: Bloomington vs. Carter

The Bloomington Bruins will take on the Carter Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bloomington is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since December 11. They and Fontana finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday. The Bruins had to tread lightly for part of the contest as Junior Pineda and Chrysler Castelo were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Bloomington's goal came courtesy of Jeremiah Romero, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Carter's offense. They fell 2-0 to Rialto on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Knights are ranked 198th).

With that draw, Bloomington's record moves to 4-4-2. As for Carter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-3.
