Volleyball Recap: Independence Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christ Presbyterian Academy, Independence was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Watertown Purple Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Independence can attribute much of their success to Raegan Burtch, who had six digs and three aces. Burtch is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Independence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Watertown, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Independence has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Goodpasture Christian on the 22nd. As for Watertown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Liberty Creek on the 22nd.
