Basketball Game Preview: St. Lawrence Central Larries vs. Chateaugay Bulldogs

St. Lawrence Central hasn't had much luck against Chateaugay recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The St. Lawrence Central Larries will host the Chateaugay Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

St. Lawrence Central is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 31, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 75-52 to Saranac Lake. The Larries have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chateaugay). They simply couldn't be stopped last Saturday as they easily beat Tupper Lake 75-34. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-10.

Chateaugay pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for St. Lawrence Central, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
