The St. Joseph Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Worth County 65-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

It was another big night for Tyler New, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds for Worth County. That makes it five consecutive games in which New has scored at least a third of Worth County's points. Bo Collins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

St. Joseph Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Worth County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Christian will challenge the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Holt will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Worth County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
