Baseball Recap: Marian Central Catholic Wins Going Away Against Schaumburg Christian

After only two runs in their last match, Marian Central Catholic made sure to put some runs up on the board against Schaumburg Christian on Saturday. The Hurricanes blew past the Conquerors 20-0. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Conor Brandt made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Brandt was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Marian Central Catholic got a massive performance out of Mason Graf, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The Hurricanes are 3-1 when Graf posts two or more runs, but 4-14 otherwise. Adam Wrzos was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Marian Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Schaumburg Christian only posted an OBP of .364.
