Soccer Game Preview: James Monroe vs. Nicholas County

James Monroe is 1-8-1 against Nicholas County since August of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mavericks will host the Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, James Monroe beat Midland Trail 3-1.

The Mavericks hit the Patriots with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hannah Willis, Maija Kubes, and Chylin Eggleston.

Meanwhile, Nicholas County kept a clean sheet against Midland Trail on Tuesday. They blew past the Patriots 4-0. Considering Nicholas County have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

James Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for Nicholas County, their win bumped their record up to 10-2-1.
