Flag Football Game Preview: Dakota Ridge Eagles vs. Steamboat Springs Sailors

The Dakota Ridge Eagles will face off against the Steamboat Springs Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Dakota Ridge 13.5, Steamboat Springs 13) so any points scored will be well earned.

Dakota Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They strolled past Evergreen with points to spare, taking the game 19-0.

One reason for the win was Dakota Ridge's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Emery Bowman was especially locked on to Evergreen's QB and sacked her twice. Bowman is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Steamboat Springs was able to grind out a solid win over Standley Lake on Saturday, taking the game 7-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sailors.

Dakota Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Steamboat Springs, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
