Baseball Recap: Poston Butte Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Poston Butte's offense. They lost 10-0 to the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by exactly ten runs.

Poston Butte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cordd Baker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Baker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Poston Butte's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-9. As for ALA - Gilbert North, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

While Poston Butte had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
