Preview: Hudson Raiders vs. Menomonie Mustangs
Hudson is 10-0 against Menomonie since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hudson Raiders will be staying on the road to face off against the Menomonie Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Hudson is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Menomonie in Wisconsin (Hudson is ranked 132nd, while Menomonie is ranked 287th).
Last Monday, Hudson lost to Superior on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin.
Meanwhile, Menomonie scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sparta and snuck past 80-77. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Menomonie, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Hudson took their win against Menomonie in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 75-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hudson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
