Football Game Preview: Spain Park Jaguars vs. Gardendale Rockets + How To Watch

The Spain Park Jaguars will face off against the Gardendale Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spain Park has five straight wins, Gardendale has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Spain Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Chilton County 49-0. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Brock Bradley produced another solid effort throwing for 123 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Gardendale didn't have quite enough to beat Woodlawn last Friday and fell 40-37.

Despite the defeat, Gardendale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rian Porter threw for 181 yards and one TD, and also punched in one rushing score.

Spain Park's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Gardendale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Thursday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Spain Park has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 170.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Gardendale, though, as they've been averaging only 73.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything went Spain Park's way against Gardendale in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Spain Park made off with a 35-12 win. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
