Football Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

West Monona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the St. Albert Falcons, falling 42-14. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 41-20 to the Falcons when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Monona's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Albert, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, West Monona will welcome Logan-Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Albert, they will head out on the road to square off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
