Basketball Recap: Cashmere Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kiona-Benton last Saturday, Cashmere came back down to earth. The Cashmere Bulldogs fell 58-49 to the Naches Valley Rangers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 51-43.

Cashmere's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Naches Valley, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cashmere will head out to face off against Royal at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Naches Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Zillah at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Zillah is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Naches Valley a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
