Basketball Game Preview: Seymour Tigers vs. Fordland Eagles

The Seymour Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Fordland Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Seymour will face Fordland after dropping another heartbreaker against Mansfield on Tuesday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. Seymour fell 62-53 to Mansfield. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-43, which was the final score in Fordland's tilt against Gainesville on Tuesday.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Fordland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Seymour against Fordland when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 77-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seymour since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
