Basketball Recap: Emily Zeck's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin Academy over Raleigh Charter

Franklin Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 36-28 to the Raleigh Charter Phoenix. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Phoenix earlier this season, when they won 40-21.

Franklin Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emily Zeck, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Iliana Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Franklin Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Raleigh Charter, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

As of now, neither Franklin Academy nor Raleigh Charter have any future games scheduled.
