Baseball Recap: Mt. Baker Mountaineers vs. Sehome Mariners
Mt. Baker extended their losing streak to 15 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-16 in the process. They came up short against the Sehome Mariners, falling 10-1. If the Mountaineers were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Mariners when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Sehome, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games.
For Sehome's part, the team relied heavily on Tyson Goodman, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Goodman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
