Baseball Recap: Osceola Wins Going Away Against Middlesex

Osceola's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Middlesex by a score of 8-3. The match marked the Kowboys' most dominant win of the season.

Josber Freitez was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Joshua Sanchez was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Yamil Santiago, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Osceola moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Osceola will venture away from home to challenge Lake Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th. Middlesex will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Austin Prep at 2:15 p.m. on March 29th.
