Forge Christian waltzed into their match on Saturday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Timnath Cubs. This was payback for the Fury, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-92) Forge Christian actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Addison Davis paced Forge Christian's offense, picking up 19 kills. Davis got some help from Abby Nance and her 42 assists. Davis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Forge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Timnath, they moved to 15-8 with that loss, which also ended their ten-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Forge Christian nor the Cubs have any future games scheduled.
