San Diego moved up to 395 from 440 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-1 Region IV District 16. The Vaqueros were able to make move up by topping Aransas Pass 41-28.

San Diego extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Panthers, 41-28. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Eddie Garza was the best wideout in the league this week as the Vaqueros topped Aransas Pass. Garza tallied two receptions for 41 yards.

Luis Lopez was the most productive running back in 2A-1 Region IV District 16 this week. He ran for 308 yards on 24 carries as San Diego bested Russell Lee's team. Teammate Garza added to the ground attack by rushing for 47 yards.

CJ Romero put up the best numbers through the air as Odem beat Bishop. He finished with two completions for 38 yards and one touchdown. Romero's favorite target this week was Hunter Rodriguez, who caught two passes for 27 yards.

San Diego's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vaqueros feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Michael Lichtenberger has thrown for 642 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Lucas Lopez has 10 catches for 236 yards. Lopez leads the league in rushing with 2235 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Vaqueros take on Falfurrias. San Diego's offense has scored 428 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Bulls have allowed only 156 on the year.

The Owls took down the Badgers 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Ray threw for 24 yards and one touchdown and ran for 110 yards in the win.
