Christ the King won the last time they faced Langtree Charter Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Christ the King Crusaders took down the Langtree Charter Academy Lions 67-53.

Despite the defeat, Langtree Charter Academy had strong showings from Jerel Brawley, who posted 14 points along with six boards and five steals, and Ashton Munters, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points. What's more, Munters also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arbrey Hoyle, who earned seven points.

Christ the King's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Langtree Charter Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Christ the King and Langtree Charter Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Christ the King will square off against Community School of Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 229 places (397 vs. 168). Christ the King has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 21. Similarly, Langtree Charter Academy (ranked 437th) will meet Lincoln Charter (ranked 94th) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
