Volleyball Recap: Timber Creek Takes a Loss

Timber Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Texans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Texans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Toree Rayford paced Timber Creek's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rayford got some help from Tala Wolfe and her 18 assists. Wolfe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Timber Creek now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Timber Creek will face off against rival Bell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Keller at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
