Baseball Recap: Adams Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Adams Central let Blackford stack six runs on them in the fifth inning on Thursday but luckily Adams Central prevailed anyway. The Flying Jets walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Bruins. The win was nothing new for the Flying Jets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jami Roach made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Adams Central: the team is 6-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Roach was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

He is becoming a predictor of Adams Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
