Football Recap: Fox Creek's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last five contests, Fox Creek finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 21-13 to the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins. The Predators haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Fox Creek lost, don't look at Bryson Crawford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 59 yards and a pair of scores. Crawford is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fox Creek fell to 5-1. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 6-0.

Coming up, Fox Creek will take on Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Predators' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will square off against Hanahan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
