Basketball Recap: Millburn Falls Short of Chatham in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Millburn can now relate to. They came up short against the Chatham Cougars on Saturday, falling 76-55. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Millers struggled afterwards.

When it comes to explaining why Millburn lost, don't look at Chase Plotkin. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-15 on his way to 24 points and seven boards. Plotkin's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chace Redler, who posted 16 points.

Millburn's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Chatham, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Millburn nor Chatham have any future games scheduled.
