Basketball Recap: Post Falls Comes Up Short

On Monday, Post Falls faced Lakeside in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Post Falls Trojans took a blow against the Lakeside Knights, falling 84-42. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lakeside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyson Charley led the charge by shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and dropping a triple-double on 26 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists. Charley is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Hallah Peone was another key player, going 9 for 13 on his way to 25 points and four steals.

With the defeat, Post Falls broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for Lakeside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
