Carmel lost to Loyola Academy back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Corsairs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ramblers 42-14. Considering the Corsairs have won five matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Carmel and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points in those games. As for Loyola Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will host Fenwick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Corsairs will need to watch out since the Friars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Loyola Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chicago Mt. Carmel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
