Basketball Recap: St. Helens Comes Up Short

St. Helens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-40 to the Scappoose Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 54-45 loss last Thursday.

St. Helens' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Scappoose, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Helens will challenge Astoria at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Scappoose has already played their next game (against Tillamook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
