The Waggener Wildcats were not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 66-36 loss at the hands of Seneca. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Waggener of the 52-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Seneca found their leader in underclassman Justice Parks, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Parks continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Timiah Harlan, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.

Waggener's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Seneca, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Waggener does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sacred Heart will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Seneca surely won't give up without a fight.
