Soccer Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Magnolia Science Academy can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Monica Mariners on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Pirates seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Magnolia Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for St. Monica, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Magnolia Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Monica, they will take on Chadwick at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Chadwick will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Monica surely won't give up without a fight.
