Softball Recap: Waconia Comes Up Short

Chanhassen hit Waconia with a five-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats fell 5-2 to the Storm. The loss leaves the Wildcats still looking for their first win of the season.

Waconia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Mieras, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Noelle Wortz also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Waconia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Chanhassen, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Waconia and Chanhassen will both be playing Chaska the next time they take the field. The Storm will head out to face the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
