Softball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield and Emery squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Richfield had to settle for second. They lost 9-0 to the Spartans. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Richfield's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Emery, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Richfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emery, they will challenge South Summit at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
