It's playoff time, and Fort Myers had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the North Fort Myers Red Knights 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Green Wave have posted against the Red Knights since May 17, 2022.

Sage Rodmyre was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Faith Fazzone also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Fort Myers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Fort Myers has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for North Fort Myers, they moved to 17-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
