Basketball Game Preview: Finneytown Wildcats vs. Heath Bulldogs

The Finneytown Wildcats and the Heath Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Finneytown lost to Taylor on the road by a 54-36 margin. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Heath put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 69-45 margin over Logan. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Finneytown better keep an eye on Jordan Kaminsky. He was instrumental in Heath's win, going 10 of 13 on his way to 27 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Kaminsky is now averaging an impressive 16.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Duston, who posted ten points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Heath's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Finneytown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Finneytown might still be hurting after the 56-35 defeat they got from Heath when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Finneytown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
