The biggest upset of the week belonged to Newport, who defeated 118th ranked Lloyd Memorial, 27-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week, Newport Central Catholic beat Holy Cross 48-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Thoroughbreds.
The Indians' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jalen Beal chipped in 111 yards.
Beal was a passing and rushing force as Holy Cross lost to Newport Central Catholic. Beal's key target this week was Damien Serrano, who caught 4 passes for 19 yards.
Serrano was the best receiver in the league this week as Bruce Kozerski's team lost to Dan Wagner's team. Serrano racked up 4 receptions for 19 yards.
Holy Cross' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hamilton Scott has thrown for 268 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while Beal has 11 catches for 68 yards.
The Thoroughbreds took down the Indians 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
