Basketball Game Preview: Penns Manor Comets vs. West Branch Warriors

The Penns Manor Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the West Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penns Manor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season.

Penns Manor fought the good fight in their overtime match against North Star last Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Cougars. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dylan Kuzemchak, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Tyler Cooper, who posted ten points and five boards.

Meanwhile, West Branch was beaten by North Star 72-44 on Friday.

West Branch's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 19-4. As for Penns Manor, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Penns Manor was taken down by West Branch 70-41 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Penns Manor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
