Preview: Big Piney Punchers vs. Rich Rebels
The Big Piney Punchers will head out on the road to face off against the Rich Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Big Piney is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Big Piney came up short against Wyoming Indian and fell 60-50.
Meanwhile, Rich scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 79-71 win over Wendover. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rich.
Jaden Desch was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ridge Lundgren, who scored 20 points.
Big Piney has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Rich, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Big Piney, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Rich in their previous matchup on January 6th. Can Big Piney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
