Preview: Chilhowee Indians vs. Drexel Bobcats
The Chilhowee Indians will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Drexel Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Drexel took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chilhowee, who comes in off a win.
Chilhowee can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game last Friday. They slipped by Norborne 52-51. The win was just what Chilhowee needed coming off of a 71-24 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Drexel's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 68-60 to Bronaugh. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chilhowee's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Drexel, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Chilhowee was taken down by Drexel 67-21 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Chilhowee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
