Volleyball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Takes a Loss

Durham School of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Red Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-5, 25-9.

Leading Cedar Ridge to victory were Kaitlyn Dixon and Mia Marty. Dixon had ten assists and five aces, while Marty had six digs and six aces. Dixon has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Anna Musser also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Durham School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cedar Ridge, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Durham School of the Arts will host Eno River Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedar Ridge, they will take on South Granville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
