Basketball Game Preview: Henderson Lions vs. Gilmer Buckeyes

Henderson and Gilmer are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Henderson Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gilmer Buckeyes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Henderson had to suffer through a 89-31 loss at the hands of Chapel Hill. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1316th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 345th).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Gilmer's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The match between them and Pine Tree didn't end well, with Gilmer falling 48-32.

Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Gilmer, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12.
