Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Todd County Central). They walked away with a 68-57 victory over the Russellville Panthers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Panthers back in January, they had to take a 80-62 defeat.

Todd County Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Holder, who posted 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave Holder a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Antavion Shemwell, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Todd County Central's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-24. As for Russellville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Todd County Central will venture away from home to face off against University Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Russellville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bowling Green at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
