Basketball Recap: Brenham Triumphs

Brenham's tournament run continued when they took on San Angelo Central on Saturday. The Brenham Cubs slipped by the San Angelo Central Bobcats 29-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

Leading Brenham to victory were Antyianna Lang and Janiyah Mathis. Lang posted nine points and eight rebounds, while Mathis earned four points and six rebounds. Lang has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played.

Brenham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for San Angelo Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brenham will host A&M Consolidated at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. San Angelo Central and Graham will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Monday.
