Recap: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Kearns Cougars
There's no place like home for the Taylorsville Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Kearns by a score of 56-47 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Taylorsville also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Ella Wolfgramm, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Marlee Reupena was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and five steals.
Despite the loss, Kearns still got an impressive performance from Iman Finau, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Finau is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leila Pilimai, who scored eight points along with three steals.
The victory got Taylorsville back to even at 7-7. As for Kearns, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylorsville will take on Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearns, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. West Jordan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
