Soccer Game Preview: Covina vs. Diamond Ranch

Covina is 0-8-1 against Diamond Ranch since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Covina will be strutting in after a win while Diamond Ranch will be coming in after a loss.

Covina's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Workman 12-0. Considering Covina's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Diamond Ranch's offense. They fell just short of Ontario Christian by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. One reason for the loss might be Diamond Ranch's aggressive play style: Angel Perez and Frankie Soto were both handed yellow cards.

Covina's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Diamond Ranch, they now have a losing record of 1-2-3.
