Baseball Game Preview: United South Panthers vs. Alexander Bulldogs

United South hasn't had much luck against Alexander recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The United South Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Alexander Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (United South 2.6, Alexander 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

United South is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Alexander on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Roman Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Galvan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for United South, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
